On days when I just don't feel the creative energies running rapidly through me I try to find an exercise or project that jumpstarts those energies again. Often times this means I do something I normally wouldn't do, like paint with two colors or use an reference image that is far outside my typical style.... just like I did in this exercise.
Maybe you have a quirky image you've been holding on to for some time that you'd like to paint or maybe you'd like to paint the same one I did? Grab two of your favorite (or least favorite) colors of paint and start painting.
