My newest apprentice
I love painting larger pieces, but often feel overwhelmed with smaller pieces. The teeny tiny details can be tricky, but if you use the right medium and brushes it can be a really great challenge, one I hope you will take on.
For this exercise, I used a 4" x 6" piece of cotton watercolor paper that I taped, so the final image was 2" x 3". I sketched it out and used gouache paint to paint it in. Gouache, oils, and/or acrylics would all be great for this exercise. Just make sure you use your smallest brushes!
