If you are like most humans you have a lot of boxes in your house from cereal, crackers, tea? Don't throw them out, why not make art with those boxes?
I wanted to create a simple way to use those boxes as a substrate, by adding two layers of gesso I did just that! I then used a white gel pen to add designs all over the box. You could use a gel pen or paint.
Not only was I surprised at how nice it was to work on this material, but when I was finished and put the box back together I realized it would be the perfect thing to tuck a gift inside and give to someone.
