Once you have done the Ancient Egyptian Art exercise you are ready to merge that style with your own style of art. You can use one or several Egyptian paintings/sculptures for inspiration. I used many different paintings. If you aren't sure of what kind of details/designs to use you can check out your local library for books on Egypt.
For this exercise, I used acrylic paint on watercolor paper. I started it off by sketching it out with pencil and then outlined it with black gesso before I began painting it. I used a similar palette to the Ancient Egyptian Style.
